1850 Mortality Schedule Index

FAYETTE COUNTY, TEXAS

Fayette County residents who died during the year before the census was taken in June 1850--so June 1849 to May 1850.
Length of illness is given in some cases. The number and ages of African-American slaves who died during this period are given at the end of the list, because no names were collected.

Note: This list was derived from Ancestry.com's database for entries from the 1850 Fayette County Mortality Schedule. However, the original scanned list did not contain all of these names. We suspect the extra names actually were from the 1860 Fayette County Mortality Schedule.

Note: The woman listed as Anartree Frosh appears to be Anna Catherine (Wasmuth) Frosch, who married Henry Frosch, Sr. and immigrated with him in 1846. His surname is misspelled the same way in the 1850 census. He had remarried to Catherine Leutdorf on February 16, 1850. Information from Chris Schultz.
