PRAHA CATHOLIC CEMETERY

PRAHA, FAYETTE COUNTY, TEXAS

The Praha Catholic Cemetery, located next to St. Mary's Catholic Church on FM 1295 south of US Hwy 90 east of Flatonia, was established in 1855. An annual memorial service is held on the Sunday preceding Veterans Day to honor the church's war heroes. Veterans, civic, and religious organizations participate in the service held at 11:00 A. M. in the cemetery.

Regena Williamson has provided photographs for the following burials in the cemetery. This is by no means a complete list of burials in this large cemetery. Veterans' cemetery photos are courtesy of Sherie Knape and Donna Green of the Fayette Heritage Museum & Archives.
